New Striker for Liverpool - Vitor Flora

Liverpool have signed Brazilian striker Vitor Flora on a free transfer.

The 18-year-old spent last season playing in his homeland with Botafogo and has signed a contract until 2010.

He holds an Italian passport so he does not require a work permit, however, he will need to gain international clearance before playing for the Reds.

Liverpool have also completed the permanent signing of Hungarian goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, 18, who was on-loan at Anfield last season.

Leiva Unveiled

New signing Lucas Leiva admitted he can't wait to line up alongside his new team-mates. Rafael Benitez believes Liverpool have acquired one of world football's best young talents in the Brazilian under-20 captain.

The summer signing from Gremio met up with the squad for the first time at Heathrow airport on Saturday and has spent the past few days getting to know them in Hong Kong.

International red tape denied him a debut against South China on Tuesday and it's not yet known whether he'll be available for selection against Portsmouth on Friday.
