Gerrard Scores his 100th; Keane finally scores

Steven Gerrard wrapped up a 3-1 win against PSV in the Group stages of the Champions League with a ferocious free-kick to score his 100th goal for Liverpool.

Robbie Keane also scored his first goal for Liverpool in the match.

I missed it, I missed them both. I am so depressed.

Reds sign Keane

Liverpool have completed the signing of striker Robbie Keane from Tottenham for a fee that could rise to £20.3m.

Keane, 28, underwent a medical on Monday after agreeing personal terms on a four-year contract worth around £80,000 a week.

Robbie Keane admits it is a dream for him to sign for the Anfield outfit.

"I've been waiting for this day since I was a kid. I'm a massive fan, so to be sitting here in a Liverpool tracksuit is a dream come true," said Keane.

"I am so grateful just to be here. I love the club and this is the one dream I had still to achieve."

He added: "I always wanted to be a footballer as a kid, but also to play for Liverpool, maybe you never feel it is going to happen.

"Now I am enjoying every minute and I can't wait to pull on that red shirt. This is a massive club and I want to do everything I can to make them even more successful."

Spurs mad at Rafa?

Rafa has apparently angered Tottenham and risked another rancorous feud with a Premiership club by going public with his desire to sign Robbie Keane.

Having already angered Martin O'Neill earlier in the summer by publicly revealing his intention to sign Gareth Barry from Aston Villa, Benitez marked the official unveiling of full-backs Phillip Degen and Andrea Dossena by confirming his interest in the Tottenham striker after being priced out of the market for David Villa.
