At the beginning of the season, Tottenham were being touted for top four honours. In the event, they must win and West Ham fail to do so against Aston Villa at Upton Park, if they're to finish in the top half. If not, it will only be the second time in seven years that Spurs have failed to achieve a top 10 placing, and sixth occasion in 16 years that the Premier League ever-presents have not managed a top-half berth.
