Parry turns heat back on Uefa
Rick Parry has reacted angrily at a UEFA report that names Liverpool fans as the worst behaved in Europe.
Uefa says Liverpool fans have been involved in more incidents in Europe during the past four years than any other club.
The report, which will be handed to sports minister Richard Caborn on Tuesday, allegedly paints a shocking picture of the Liverpool supporters' behaviour at the Champions League final against Milan in Athens.
Parry hit back and says Uefa security measures for the final were sub-standard and says the club warned of potential trouble before the final.
Many supporters with forged tickets or no tickets at all managed to get into the Olympic Stadium causing disorder in the build up to the match.
"The shortcomings in the management of the situation in Athens were apparent to anyone who was there and these latest comments from Uefa should not deflect attention from that reality."
