On the Agger Strike

Daniel Agger's thunderbolt on Saturday brought back memories of Jimmy Case and Graeme Souness in their pomp. But by the end, Kopites were comparing the young Dane to a very different Liverpool legend.

Agger's coolness in bringing the ball out of defence was reminiscent of Alan Hansen in his prime. The unflappable 'Jocky' launched many a Liverpool attack with his forays from centre-half and Agger had that same look about him in the West Ham match.
