Potential Liverpool target Dirk Kuyt is not without potential suitors. Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder is still considering whether to move for the £10m-rated Feyenoord striker.

Roeder watched the 25-year-old in action in Amsterdam on Sunday and told Newcastle's website: 'He played well.

'I did not see any reason why we should not go and watch him again. We will be studying him again at the weekend as we are two or three other strikers.

'But that does not mean we are going to be bidding for him, or that he is coming here.' "
