Liverpool Transfer News

Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt is poised to finally decide his future after being linked with a move to Liverpool.

Kuyt, 25, has asked for time off to make a final decision on whether to quit the club, and recently revealed Liverpool had made an approach. Liverpool's move for Kuyt appears to depend on whether they can clinch a deal for Sevilla's Brazilian right-sided player Daniel Alves.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is also interested in the players affected by the Italian matchfixing scandal, with David Trezeguet among his targets. But the Frenchman is not the only player Benitez has been following, with reports linking Liverpool with his team-mate Mauro Camoranesi.

With Benitez also looking to off-load Salif Diao - who played in Saturday's 2-0 friendly win at Wrexham - and full-back Djimi Traore, more cash could soon be added to his transfer fund.

With regrad to the weekend's warm-up match, Rafa Benitez declared himself satisfied with Liverpool's opening pre-season fixture at Wrexham on Saturday and revealed he was particularly pleased with the strike pairing of Robbie Fowler and Craig Bellamy.
