Sven-Goran Eriksson has insisted England are in great shape to beat their Euro 2004 conquerors Portugal in Saturday's World Cup quarter-final.

The England coach said his side can avenge their penalty shoot-out defeat by the Portuguese and progress to a semi-final against Brazil or France.

'I strongly believe we will win,' said the Swede.

Of course it can't hurt that Deco and Costinha are out for the match after the shambolic Netherlands match. Let's hope that the Portuguese side doesn't repeat their past match antics and try to get under Rooney's skin.
